Bronx Man Arrested While Trying To Join ISIS

A Bronx man was arrested at JFK International Airport Wednesday night and accused of trying to join ISIS.

Saddam Mohamed Raishani, 30, was planning to board a flight for Lisbon, Portugal, when he was arrested after having confided his plans to an undercover officer.

“Having already helped another man make that trip to ISIS’ heartland, Raishani allegedly acted on his own desire to wage violent jihad, planning to leave his family and life in New York City for the battlefields of the Middle East,” Acting Manhattan U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said in a statement.
