A 3-year-old boy was found wandering on a Bronx street early Thursday after he slipped out of the house while his older sibling slept, police said.
He was picked up within a block of the home when a taxi driver spotted him on 167th St. near University Ave. in Highbridge around 6:05 a.m., officials said.
The driver flagged down police, who took the child to Lincoln Hospital for evaluation. He was not harmed, cops said.
The boy was reunited with his grandmother at the 44th Precinct stationhouse. She told police the boy’s parents typically leave for work early, before 6 a.m., and the boy is with his siblings — ages 16 and 2 — until she arrives to look after the younger ones when the teen goes to school.
